You read that right – it’s Free Book Friday’s LAST week of giveaways. *SIGH* But we do have a special message for you from FBF Founder Jessica Brody. So put on your reading glasses, buckle up, and scroll down for more…

THE END:

Back in 2008, I posted a giveaway on my website, offering up free signed copies of my first novel, THE FIDELITY FILES. The response to the giveaway was so incredible, I thought, “hey, why not do a signed book giveaway every week?” And Free Book Friday was born. I launched a dedicated site a few months later and the site continued to grow and expand from there. Eventually, it got too big for me to handle on my own and I brought on help — the amazingly talented Christina Diaz, who has been faithfully and brilliantly running the site for more than seven years. Now, sadly, we have come to the decision to close the site permanently.

In an appropriate “bookend” to this fun experiment, my latest novel, IN SOME OTHER LIFE, will be one of the final featured giveaways on the site this week! It’s been an honor to be part of this amazing project and to give books away to readers every single week. Since opening, we’ve given away more than 5,000 free books. That’s an accomplishment I will always be proud of. I hope you’ve enjoyed the journey as much as we have. And please never, ever stop reading.

– Jessica, FBF Founder

So, this is it. Sadly but proudly, we’ve combed our FBF Library one last time and have chosen 5 amazing titles for you, our dedicated readers. PLUS, once more, we’re including an FBF Swag Pack (Postcard, Book plate, Bookmark, and Pen) with each copy! So keep scrolling to read up on what we have in store on our final week. And Good Luck to all!

The Sixty-Eight Rooms by Marianne Malone

Middle Grade

Almost everybody who has grown up in Chicago knows about the Thorne Rooms. Housed in the Children’s Galleries of the Chicago Art Institute, they are a collection of 68 exquisitely crafted miniature rooms made in the 1930s by Mrs. James Ward Thorne. Each of the 68 rooms is designed in the style of a different historic period, and every detail is perfect, from the knobs on the doors to the candles in the candlesticks. Some might even say, the rooms are magic.

Imagine—what if you discovered a key that allowed you to shrink so that you were small enough to sneak inside and explore the rooms’ secrets? What if you discovered that others had done so before you? And that someone had left something important behind?
